As the Domestic Service Supervisor at St. Josephs Lifecare you will be responsible for leading the domestic services team, keeping the Care Home environment clean and hygienic by conducting laundry and cleaning duties. This would suit someone who thrives in a leadership role, is enthusiastic with a high standard, wanting to make a difference in the lives of others and ensuring residents, their families, and staff are within a safe and clean environment.

  • Previous experience within a similar role would be desirable (but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also independently. 
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to build good rapport with others and show empathy.
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to actively seek for duties to be completed
  • Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
