About this role

  • Highfield Lifecare is a 44-bed Care Home located in the beautiful seaside town of Timaru.  
  • Permanent Full Time (32 hours or more per week)
  • AM, PM, Nights and Weekends

As a Registered Nurse at Highfield Lifecare, no two days will be the same, but you can be certain that each day you will leave work feeling fulfilled, knowing that you’ve made a big difference in somebodies’ day. The work can be challenging, but it is also meaningful and rewarding, and the supportive and welcoming team will become your second family. As a Registered Nurse, you will use your skills to:

  • Lead and develop a team of dedicated Caregivers to provide a high-level of quality care
  • Develop and monitor care plans
  • Carry out clinical assessments
  • Form a lasting relationship with residents, families and GP’s
  • Support the Clinical Services and Care Home Manager

Skills & Experience

  • Current NZ Registered Nurse Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Previous Registered Nurse experience (Aged Care / Dementia experience would be an advantage)
  • Sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and prioritising skills
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Empathy towards others and the drive to make a difference in the lives of others
  • Ability to participate in an on-call roster
