This is an amazing leadership opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead clinical excellence at Stillwater Lifecare & Village, a 69-bed Care Home and Hospital, with a 43-unit Village based in Nelson, and to work among a highly skilled multitalented team dedicated to providing the best care for our residents.  

Supported by the Care Home Manager, your new role as Clinical Services Manager will see you leading and empowering clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver high-level services to residents.  You will be involved in the educating and skill development of a Caregiver team, supporting the development and monitoring of care plans, clinical assessments and being a trusted liaison between families/whanau, GPs, and other networks. If you seek to grow your clinical skills and professional development in management, this is an opportunity not to pass by.

You will be welcomed into a team with a strong work ethic, focus and drive.  From time to time, it will be 'all hands-on deck', and you will be required to work on the floor in order to achieve the overall goal of ensuring a high level of care is provided to residents. 

He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience

  • Clinical experience and knowledge within the Aged Care industry
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including mentoring, coaching, and developing others
  • Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective time management and prioritising skills
  • InterRai training, E-case, and medimap experience desirable however training will be provided
  • Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
