Heritage Lifecare has rewarding opportunities available for three positions on a permanent Part-time basis to join our dedicated team at Redroofs Lifecare in Dunedin.

As a Caregiver at Redroofs Lifecare, no two days will be the same, but you can be certain that each day you will leave work feeling fulfilled knowing that you’ve made a big difference in somebody else’s day. The work can be challenging, but it is also meaningful and rewarding, and your supportive and welcoming team will become your second family. 

As a Caregiver, you will use your skills to:

• Work together in a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents
• Follow individual resident care plans
• Form lasting relationships with residents and their whanāu | family
• Adapt and support your wider team members to create a great team environment

Within this role, you will work a minimum of 20 hours per week, covering all shifts on a rostered basis.

He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience

• A great team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others
• Good communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with residents, their families and your team members
• Be familiar with computers and have the ability to learn new systems
• Minimum NZQA Level 2 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or relevant overseas qualification
• Experience within aged care would be beneficial, but not essential
• Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
