In our fast-moving aged care environment, reliable systems are vital to support the people who care for our residents.

As an Applications Specialist, you’ll make sure our key business applications run smoothly, stay stable, and keep improving. You’ll handle Level 2/3 support, manage configurations, and deliver small but meaningful enhancements that make everyday work easier

This role suits someone who takes ownership, enjoys problem-solving, and values well-structured, well-documented work. You’ll work closely with the Applications Lead and other teams to resolve incidents, support testing and releases, and keep processes clean and auditable.

This is an on-site role based at our support office, with occasional flexibility by arrangement. Infrequent domestic travel may be required.

Skills & Experience | He pūkenga tou

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a service-oriented mindset:

  • 2+ years’ experience in application support (SaaS or on-premises), working with ticketing tools and meeting SLAs
  • Confident managing configurations, user administration, and data imports/exports
  • Hands-on experience with task automation, system integrations, or APIs, including monitoring, error handling, and basic scripting
  • Proven ability to prepare and execute test cases and UAT cycles
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience, including user and license management, permissions, and basic configuration
  • Proficient with the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for documentation, analysis, and collaboration
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical issues into plain language
  • Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively with internal teams and external vendors
  • Proactive, analytical, and self-managing. Takes ownership, solves problems, and delivers without needing close supervision
  • Excellent time and priority management, remaining calm and methodical under pressure
  • Helpful: ITIL Foundation or equivalent
